We had a fantastic holiday at Rose Cottage. The house itself is small but comfortable, well equipped, immaculate and beautifully presented. Lovely gardens too. Above all, it's quiet! Glenbuchat itself is a true hidden gem, 30 minutes from Royal Deeside but every bit as pretty. The glen is on a small road off the main A road to Huntly and as such is beautifully quiet. The bonus, for us, were the mile upon mile of tracks roving over the hills that were perfect for walking and mountain biking. it's also a great base for exploring further into Tomintoul, Deeside, Donside and the wider Cairngorm park. The owner, Alan, is also extremely helpful and responsive, a pleasure to correspond with. Would totally recommend this cottage if you value peace and quiet. The best compliment I can give is that we've already booked another visit for the October break!
