Rose Cottage is in a peaceful situation (well away from the nearest public road) with a diverse variety of wildlife and ideal for a relaxed holiday or staycation. The area is unspoiled and enjoys stimulating clean air.
The Cottage has its own spacious garden grounds on the side of a wooded hillside enjoying views of the surrounding Ladder hills and Ben Newe to the southeast. The mature garden has a mixture of trees and specimens trees and large grassy areas.
Ben Newe overlooks Glenbuchat from a southerly point and at 565m (the 3303rd highest hill in Scotland!) offers from its summit an expansive view in all directions and notably west to the higher peaks of the Cairngorm Mountains which are usually covered in snow well into Spring. The cottage is at an elevation of 330m (about 1100 feet) above sea level. The Cottage has direct access to adjacent woodland and also direct walking access to the surrounding hills and a network of paths in the Ladder Hills.
