Covid-19 Statement

From 26 April – guests from one household can stay overnight in self catering

Government statement - update 11 May 2021

 Scotland

  • Scotland is to Move to level 2 with associated changes will go ahead as planned on Monday across most of Mainland Scotland from Monday 17th May

  • Moray will remain at level 3

  • Many island communities will move to level 1

Moray - Level 3

  • Remain in Level 3 for a ‘further period’ 

  • Travel restrictions will be reimposed for a ‘hopefully short period’  so travel in and out of Moray will not be allowed except for permitted reasons.

The Rest of Cairngorms National Park - Level 2

  • Meeting outdoors, groups of 8 people from 8 households

  • Meeting indoors groups of 6 people from 3 households, (including overnight stays). This is an improvement to the previously announced position

  • There will no longer be a need to maintain social distancing when meeting friends and family indoors and in private gardens (within above limits). 

  • A wider review of the need for physical distancing in other settings is underway with a view to relaxing this in more public spaces.

  • Hospitality 6 people from 3 households are now permitted indoors (with social distancing) alcohol allowed indoors

  • Hospitality venues still required to take contact details

  • Further opening of venues including cinema & theatre

  • Outdoor adult contact sports allowed

  • Limit for events goes up to 100 (indoors), 250 (outdoors - unrestricted standing), 500 (outdoors - restricted seating)

International Travel 

  • Move to traffic light system in line with England and hope to continue to take a four nation approach. From Monday

    • Red - managed mandatory isolation 

    • Amber - self isolate at home 10 days 2 PCR tests, vast majority of countries

    • Green - PCR shortly after arrival no self isolation, limited

Safety of our guests is our number one priority at Rose Cottage, Glenbuchat.  The Owners take all the necessary steps to provide a safe environment for you to enjoy your stay. We have undertaken guidance from our trade association Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers. 

 

Our caretakers are fully competent in their knowledge and practice of cleaning protocols. In combination with this we have introduced the following measures to ensure your safety during your stay with us.

 

  • COVID-19 Cleaning Checklist

  • Additional PPE & Protective Equipment for staff

  • Hand sanitiser provided for guests

 

If you or any member of your party become ill with any of the symptoms of Covid-19 during your stay with us, please let us know immediately and travel home.
